Hue Hider

About:

This game is an endless runner where the player must change their colour to avoid detection from security checkpoints, and jump and slide to avoid death from obstacles and detection from guards. 

Controls:

- Jump/Phase colour up: Spacebar (Hold to extend jump, press again to double jump)

- Slide/Phase colour down: S key or Down arrow key

Colour phasing: Jumping shifts the players colour upwards, and sliding shifts it downwards. Colour is shifted upwards on a jump, whereas when sliding can be shifted down without limit.

Security alerts:

When the player sets off a security alert, their speed is temporarily increased. If the player passes through a security checkpoint as the incorrect colour during a security alert, they receive a game over.

Security checkpoints:

The game features security checkpoints in the form of coloured gates. The player must change their colour to match the colour of the gate as they pass through it, otherwise they will set off a security alert.

Guards:

If the player is seen by guards, they will set off a security alert. If the player is spotted by guards during a security alert, the alert countdown will restart. Guards can be avoided by jumping or sliding to evade their line of sight. 

Obstacles:

There are different obstacles the player can encounter, such as pitfalls and spikes. If the player fails to avoid them they will receive a game over.
